Why? Because it’s a challenge. Because it’s hard. Because I want to see if I can do it.
I’ve had a love-hate relationship with rowing machines for years—never really knew how to use them properly, never really cared. But that’s changed. Now, training on the erg is a key part of my physical and mental fitness.
This blog is a record of the highs, the lows, the breakthroughs, and the setbacks. It’s also an experiment—not just in rowing, but in training smarter, staying accountable, and using AI (ChatGPT) as a coach to help guide my training and tighten up my writing.
I don’t know exactly where this will end up, but I do know one thing:
I will row a sub-7-minute 2K.
